Twisty Cane Platter (May 25th, 2025)
Date: 25th of May, 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 1:00pm-4:00pm
In this workshop you will create a 20cm square glass platter, selecting from a variety of pre-made twisty canes as your "feature", while choosing from a selection of other colours to compliment your cane. The pre-made canes were pulled from our Vitrigraph kiln.
You will learn how to score and run the 3 mm glass, as you design your piece, which will be a total of 6mm thick.
You will learn about "colour reactions" - how to use them to good effect, or avoid them.
Your glass will be fused and then slumped and available for collection several days later.
No prior experience with glass is necessary, and after completing this workshop you are eligible for "open studio" in which you can work on personal projects.
Limited to 6 spaces at $200/per person.
