Introduction to Glass Fusing
This full day workshop is loads of fun and you will make a test tile, a jewelry pendant and a functional art piece.
The basic concepts of fusing glass will be explained and you will work with glass powders, frit and stringers with your test tile. The concept of “negative space” will become clear as you make your pendant and the rest of the afternoon will be devoted to designing your “main event”…
Max class size is 8.
Introduction to The Hot Shop
This workshop is a very intensive full day experience. We book 3 students/ session, and there are 2 of us instructing and demonstrating… an excellent student/teacher ratio!
The workshop introduces the beginner to the skills necessary for manipulating molten glass. (We are unable to offer this workshop in 2022 for a variety of reasons, but hope to offer it again in 2023)

Bead Making on the Minor Burner

This is a full day workshop introducing you to the magic of bead making! We will use a minor burner torch, which is fueled with an oxy/propane surface mix.
The experience of working with molten glass and the Minor Burner will give you an idea of the basic principles of the Hot Shop. This day will absolutely fly by and you will pick up your beads with joy and amazement at what you have created!
After completing this workshop, you will be eligible for Open Studio on the torch.
