Hot Glass Workshop
This hands on workshop introduces the beginner to the skills necessary for manipulating molten glass.
After a studio tour and introduction of all tools and equipment, we will review safety in the studio. “Gathering” the glass from the furnace and various shaping techniques with the jacks is next. Technique is improved through practice exercises. Application of colour, experimenting with the optic mold, and a bubble tops it off. It’s serious, but it’s loads of fun!
